Stalkers got a bigger body, and thus slightly more health. One last note is the fact that old enemies were brought back and new ones were buffed. Which would give people a reason to play the game. There is a segment near the end where carver and Isaac fight, bringing in some good old fashioned PvP. There was one thing in the DLC that I noticed. Basically, it was the final boss of the second game, except three times. I noticed that there were sequences where the player was taken into a dream of a kind, and had to fight off enemies. The game's flow changed a little bit in the DLC. But a newbie to the series won't spend $10 on two hours of content. Too easy, though to a new player, it would be slightly more difficult. The only time I actually died was in a brawl after I was knocked over and couldn't see my health. I found the gameplay to be pretty easy, little effort was needed to get though most any group of enemies. I found this to be an interesting mechanic, if anything had lasted long enough to be considered a threat, but that is neither here nor there. Similar things to the Co-op missions where Carver would be stuck in a trance, can happen to both players. Each player character waws going crazy in different ways. Now, the way they change it up a little was the idea that the player's "Mind" can't be trusted. or at least Isaac and Carver as characters. Isaac and Carver make it back to Earth, the moons are already eating everything. Now, I will admit that it did tie up loose ends.

And to summarize my opinion in a word, I would have to say Disappointed. I just finished playing through the entirety of Dead Space 3's DLC, Awakened.
